Big tides, muddy water, flat water on the leeward side, choppy on the windward side. Some flat water, if you are a strong intermediate you can come in close to the rocks to get access to flat water. Summer brings a little swell, never big except for typhoons.

Best wind magnet in HK. That's why it is next to the airport. It consistently comes from only two directions. Stronger NE in winter (October to March) or lighter SW in summer (April to September) with around 12-18 knots. Most consistent winds in HK, works in all directions. Best conditions is winter N-NE-E-SE, around 15-20 knots.

 How to get there
Transport:
- Boat
Access:
- Short Walk

The only way is by boat. You need to go to the SW side of Castle Peak, via Tuen Mun, the name of the beach is Lung Whu Tan. You need to find the windsurf/kitesurf club and get hold of Hio Tim. Ho Tim has a boat and can get you out to the island for approx $150 return trip. It's worth it.
