Super clean white sand beach. Locals take good care of trash, shells, etc. Kiters and windsurfer should do as well. During low tide there is ample room to launch, the spot itself could easily hold 20-30 kiters at low tide.
Wetsuit or drysuit year round. Summer months rash guard, shorties no problem if the waters warm up. Water temps hover around 65°F from late June to late August. Drysuits are the norm for late winter and late fall.
Solid kite conditions 50% of the time. SW 50% of the time, all other directions work pretty well with any East in them. South and North are also fine. Predominant flow is SW. Clean kiting conditions are found first with a NE flow, then a SE. On average 7-10 knots in the summer and 12-16 knots early spring and late fall. Low wind conditions for the most part.
Route 95N out of Boston to 286 East. All the way to the end and you will see the Ocean in front of you. From Manchester airport, 101 East to south 1A. Beach is at the intersection of Route 1A and Route 286 on the border of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
No parking on the street. Carry in and carry out all trash. Locals have right of way. In general, during the summer months kiting takes a back seat to sunbathers and anyone else from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
