Hurricane season is June 1. to November 30. Sandy Cay beach curves around, and really can be ridden on most wind directions. Especially at low tide, when the sand bar is exposed!

None. Sandy Cay rarely has anyone on it! If you launch at low tide, make sure you place your gear high enough up on the land so that when high tide comes, your things will be safe and dry.
