Nice sandy beach with lots of space. The west beach is very long, almost as long as the island Hiddensee. So pick an access, prefer a beach without wave breakers and with less tourists. Further south of the main tourist area is the best. Edit

Summer is nice and warm. High season a shorty is ok, a few weeks with just shorts is possible. Usually a wetsuit is always needed. Water max 22°C in summer, normally around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes make kiting almost year-round possible. Air: summer between 20-30°C, spring and fall around 15°C. Edit

Access: - Long Walk

Hiddensee is an island west of Ruegen. Only accessable by boat. No cars on the island. Take a boat from Stralsund or from Schaprode. From Stralsund, head for 'Insel Ruegen' stay on the mainroad once you crossed the bridge. Take a left in Samtens, heading for Gingst. Follow the signs to Schaprode. Take a boat/ferry in the harbour.

Watch out for the wave breakers. On a nice SW wind you can do a trip to Hiddensee, starting from Suhrendorf on Ruegen. Ride to the small harbour of Neuendorf. Then carry your gear for about 500m through a forest and enjoy fun waves.
