Flat to choppy water. Shallow access. The Rhein always has a current. With offshore NW wind very flat water in the bay. Few very shallow areas in the water, depending on the water level. Stay away from the big ships, which pass by at about 200m away from the shore.

Frontal driven winds, best in spring and autumn. Usually westerly depressions. Best with NW, which is offshore. Westerlies blow opposite to the flow of the river.
From A4 take the exit to Koeln-Poll and follow signs to Westhoven. Turn right onto Nikolausstrasse and drive to its end. Here turn right and left again and park.
