The best time to spend your surfing vacation in Barbados is the period of time when the cooling trade winds blow with high consistency over the island's shores, namely from mid November to the end of June. But that does not mean the rest of the year couldn't be as good or even better. During the hurricane season which starts 1st of June all the way through to November all sorts of conditions are possible. The trades usually blow at a moderate wind speed of 12-25 knots. The wind force hardly changes at all on most days. Normally, the wind blows sideshore from the left, with a slight offshore tendency in winter and a slight onshore tendency in summer. Ridable pretty much every day in January to February. NE trade winds.
This beach is mainly used if you had problems getting back to shore on Silver Sands beach. Downwind of this beach there are just rocks, which make it hard to get to shore.
