- Small Wave (< 1m)
- Medium Wave (1-3m)
Hazards:
- Currents

Quality:

Best Tide:
- Falling Tide

Great waves on the oceanside, on either the north or south side of the inlet. You can drive on the beach on both sides of the inlet as long as it is not high tide. Current can be substantial, so downwinder may be advisable. Best on an outgoing tide with a wind with a easterly component. Can either stay on flat water or venture into excellent waves in the mouth of the inlet. Riders should be advanced level to ride here! Unless you have a boat to take you to disappearing island. Also, need to be religious on checking tide, wind, weather info every few hours.

The beach is pristine white sand. If you want to stay away from cars on the beach launch from one of the beach access areas in the no drive zone on the north side of the inlet, just north of the last beach access on the Daytona side. It is best to stay near the area with no car access, otherwise you have to stay 100 yards out. Launch on the inside of the inlet from the New Smyrna side, either drive down the beach or park at Smyrna Dunes Park and walk down the boardwalk to the inlet.
