Usually just shorts. A couple of cold weeks in the winter, but very warm compared to anywhere not tropical. Then a shorty should be fine.

Winds blowing from the West are dead onshore here. You can safely ride this spot in any wind direction that doesn't involve winds from the east. Take some time to get acquainted with this spot. If the winds are out of the North or NW, be cautious about riding beyond the rock jetty at the tip of the park. If you are beyond that tip and crash or lose your kite, there is no place for you or it to go but on out into the bay.

From Tampa, I-275 South to Westshore Blvd. Heading South on Westshore Blvd continue across Gandy Blvd down into Port Tampa. Stay right when Westshore forks at Port Tampa. By now you should be seeing signs to the park. Follow the signs thru the next 2 turns to the parks entrance. The first thing you will see in the park will be a fishing dock. Continue past that to the sailboat launch area on the right.
