Very clean. Big shallow area with flat water. Tidal range is quite big at 6m on springs.

4 miles of flat soft sand bar, no rocks, enough space to launch and land the kite. Watch out for the cliff and harbour that are downwind in a SW. Set up on the main (big) beach. There is a smaller beach near the harbour, seperated by a rocky outcrop - this is your emergency landing if it all goes wrong.

Catch the train from Edinburgh to Kinghorn. Catch the Super Fast ferry from Zebrugga to Rosyth. By car (from South) head North over the Forth Road Bridge first exit for Rosyth follow the sings for Kinghorn 14 miles from the bridge.

06-03-26 Tim: This is my local beach so I spend a lot of time here. Set up on the main (big) beach. There is a smaller beach near the harbour, seperated by a rocky outcrop - this is your emergency landing if it all goes wrong. Prevailing wind is SW. Beach faces S looking over to Edinburgh. Tidal range is quite big at 6m on springs.
