Average winds are around 15-20 in winter and during summer time it is pretty calm. Spring and fall are the windiest, with winds generally around 20mph. Hurricanes during hurricane season. Not to windy during summer, and really windy during winter.
From Pensacola drive south on 30 across the Pensacola Bay, pass Gulf Breeze and take 399 south to Pensacola Beach. Find a spot wherever less people are.
Try to stay away from groups of people! There are birds that Nest in the national sea shore and the park rangers are protecting them. Look out for turtle nest/bird nests, both are marked well.
