During low tide it's quite a long walk to the water, from where you park your car. The water is flat and shallow than. When it gets high tide, the walk isn't that far. The water is perfectly flat, like a mirror, near the cars and a bit further more out it's real choppy. Generally speaking there are no waves. The water is most times perfectly flat cause the beach lays in a U-shape. Besides that you can stand in the water for a couple hundred meters so that makes it excellent for beginners to start and for experts to do their tricks. The water is very dirty. Watch out for seaweed.

The beach is very huge, so launching is not a problem. With low tide you must walk a few hundred meters to reach the water. At low tide there are some wooden sticks (not many) so watch out a bit. Safe, since there is always shore. At high tide the beach can get small.

During spring the air temperature will be somewhat like 15-20°C, summer 20-25°C, sometimes 30°C, in autumn it will drop to 10-15°C, end of Oct. it will drop below 10°C. Winter, it is cold...from freezing cold to nice days of 8°C. Water temps are 4-5°C in winter months, to 18-20°C in summer months.

Can be almost all directions. That is the big advantage of this bay. Mainly Southwest, although in summer sometimes East. Almost all directions are OK but then somestimes you must walk a lot to come back. East, Southeast and South is offshore! Especially Southeast and East are dangerous and this directions are not suitable for kiting.

One can drive it's car right up on the beach. Just unpack your stuff, get ready to go, launch and hit the water. During summer, in sunny weekends, you have to pay 1,50€ for parking your car on the beach. In summer there are toilets and you can get some snacks right at the beach. Rescue service is nearby, think it will take about 20 minutes for them to arrive. Rules given by the Nederlandse Kitesurf Vereniging, Koninklijke Nederlandse Watersport vereniging and citycounsel of Oostvoorne. The water is really dirty, many people have become ill. So be careful.
