There's tide, because the water is connected to the sea. The water is choppy, no waves. It's deep water when it's high tide, and it's shallow for maybe 50m when it's low tide. But you can't stand because the bottom is covered with oister shells. Booties are highly recommended.
The big downside of the spot is that it has a very small `beach`. The spot is just at the side of a dyke, where a road passes over. So it's a bit of grass and you only have a very narrow strip to launch. You can go to the base of the dyke but there are lots of shells there so that isn't too good for your gear either.
It is possible to kite there (people are doing it) but I think it's dangerous to say the least, one kite on the road and the consequences are catastrophic. So watch out with the cars on the road. Only one accident has to happen there, and kitesurfing will be banned. I must really discourage you to go kiting there, but if you really want to, make sure you use a leash and are experienced and watch out.
