Inside reef and smooth. Outside reef, surf and choppy. Reef located 400m of the beach. Alternative location that the reef is closer to reach and faces the south for different wind direction. Located 300m away from primary location.
Very clean beach for setting up. Groomed everyday with no debris. Clean sand throughout. The beach is about 300m long and about 75m wide. Access to these beaches is by escort only.
Summer: light winds. 8-14 knots South to Northwest except prior to and after Typhoons when the wind picks up considerably. Winter: in the 12-30 knts range and are typically from the NNE which is accessible from the East side of the island.
Take route 58 from Naha airport and go North until you reach route 75 East. Take it until you get to 329 North. Follow it until you reach Camp Schwab. Escort from Airport to location is available.
Watch out for beach goers and use common sense when landing, launching and conditions considerations. Not a public beach. You need to know someone from the camp.
