There are 2 spots: one on the Baltic-seaside (wavy and choppy) and the second at the lagoon (pretty flat and shallow). The sea: mostly onshore winds and 1-3m waves. Very frequent waves, breaking fast.
The season lasts generaly from April till end of October. The air temperatures at that time could be from 10-30°C. Water 10-22°C. A wetsuit is mostly necessary.
Mostly Westerly directions (onshore), but not rare from North (sideshore) or South (sideshore), or even East (offshore). The lagoon: gusty when offshore winds.
First go to Klaipeda, then there is a ferry, wich brings you to the narrow peninsula (Neringa), then you have to drive 50km to Nida or try any spot on this way.
