Excellent waves with SW wind and big swell on the occean. Big beach break. Stay away from the mole and to the right from some rocks and metal hazards in the water. Sometimes up to 50 surfers, keep distance.
The season goes from April to November. In that time air from spring 10-20°C, in summer up to 30°C and autumn 10-16°C. Water spring 8-13°C, summer 18-23°C, autumn 8-14°C. You always need a wetsuit. You can go out off-season but it will be very cold, a thick wetsuit or better drysuit, mask, shoes and gloves recommended.
Take E45 and exit at no.59 onto 13 direction Viborg. Pass Tørring, Nørre Snede and Hjøllund. Just after Knudstrup and Torning turn right onto 186 towards Skive. Pass Frederiks and Sjørup until the center of Skive. Here take the 26 direction Nykøbing and Thisted. Just after the steel bridge crossing the Vilsund stay on 26 and get onto 571. At the end turn right onto 181. You will see the exit to Nørre Vorupør to the left. Follow the road to the village. Park either at the fishing hall or drive right after the hall almost onto the beach towards the mole and park here. Walk for about 150m to the beach.
