The shallow sandy bottom extends for 100s of yards out into the lake. Flat to choppy, nice waves can form on stronger southerlies.

Malmo Memorial Park, just south of the town, provides a huge grassy rigging area out of the wind, shade and easy water access.

From the twin cities (Saint Paul/Minneapolis) take Hwy 169 North. Shortly before you hit the lake turn right onto Hwy 27 East. Then turn left onto 47 North which becomes 18 as well. Turn left into Malmo Memorial Park, just south of Malmo.
