Long sandy beach. Probably one of the cleanest of the Belgian Coast, almost no dirt laying around. Very good sand quality, hard sand and not too muddy.
Fun in fall and spring with 5/3 wetsuit, in summer you can wear shorty, summer wetsuit etc. Surfing the whole year possible, but temps can get below zero. Water temp. 2°C in cold wintertime and 22°C in hot summertime.

Depression winds, in summer we can have a sea breeze when hot. In fall and spring we have an average of 10 good days a month (wind direction, wind speed ok). Best wind conditions in spring and fall. In summer you can ride big gear.
Look out for the wave breakers every 300m. Powerkiting is allowed the whole year through, although coast guards might ask you to go to unsurveillanced parts of the beach during the summer if you fly without respecting the beach crowd and if you fly big stuff. Mountainboarding and Landbuggying is permitted before 10 in the morning and after 6 in the evening during the summer. Surfkiting is only permitted in the unsurveillanced zones during the summer. If you go during the summer, please respect the beach crowd and listen to the coastguards, if you're friendly with them, they will tolerate more.
