Sandy bay, rocks on sides, and some in the middle. Very packed beach in summer. Small beach, you must be an advanced kiteboarder because beside the beach there are the road and electric wires, you have to be careful.

Usual direction NW, very gusty, turbulent. W and SE also very gusty and turbulent. Best wind directions: SW, NE, E, N. Winds in summer are weak. Windy between October and May. A bit gusty but you can sail with nearly all wind directions. When it comes from Southeast and Northeast it is too gusty. The best is East, offshore wind but it is not so dangerous because it is a bay.
Car rental is the best to get around, very cheap. Take the bus, number 645. You can go there by car, take the main road to the North, it is quite easy to find.
Kiteboarding possible only when beach is totally empty in winter, October to April. Or with a boat all year round, but winds in summer are weak. Bay for advanced riders, beginners definitely need instruction and assistance.
04-03-13 ckramerrr: forget about this spot in summer cause it is really crowded, as are all sandy beaches in Malta, being all very small beaches. In winter though they are really beautiful, an obvioulsy there are no swimmers around.
