This spot can be ridden at any tide height. A huge area for riding, basically like a kiteboard fun park with sandbars, flat glassy sections and also wave riding just over the sandbar. There is a river mouth (Pioneer River) as well that can be ridden in an outgoing tide. Nice.

Fly From Brisbane to Mackay. Takes about an hour and a bit. Call the local kiteshop and they will pick you up. It is a dirt/sand road to get to the Point but any car is fine as long as you keep on the track.
Edit
We do have jellyfish in summer months from October to April, make sure you wear a stinger suit. Can be purchased at local kiteshop for about AU$50.
