In the south part of the lagune you will find excellent flat water and the water is from 0.3-2m deep. Outside on the reef you will find a slowly breaking wave, which can be huge (up to 5m), but does not create a tube.

Summer (Nov-Mar) is the best time to Kite in Perth. Summer starts in December and finishes in March. During the summer Perth gets the Infamous 'Fremantle Doctor'; `The Most Consistent wind in the World`, making it ideal kitesurfing conditions. Its just like clockwork, coming in between noon, and 3 pm. Giving you somewhere between 15-25 knots (average) a day. You maybe able to get some days in during the winter time, however with Strong, Gusty, and Squally winds, it maybe difficult. Not to mention the Rain.
