Løkken gets a mix of chop and waves depending on location and wind. When the wind is from Southwest (sideshore) surfing is best North of the pier = nice, big, good spaced, rolling waves (up to 3m high, good for paddle surfing as well) and no current. When the wind is from West and Northwest there's a lot more chop between the waves and it can become a bit messy. North and south of the pier doesn't matter then.
A very wide sandy beach. Near the pier and city there are small beach huts on the beach. Also during summer there can be a lot of tourists and bathers. The beach is open for traffic, so beware also of cars. When surfing in summer it is advised to seek further south or north on the beach, as there are less people and cars here. But this is mostly a problem from mid June to mid August.
The season goes from April to November. In that time air from spring 10-20°C, in summer up to 30°C and autumn 10-16°C. Water spring 8-13°C, summer 18-23°C, autumn 8-14°C. You always need a wetsuit. You can go out off-season but it will be very cold, a thick wetsuit or better drysuit, mask, shoes and gloves recommended. Otherwise the weather can be a bit wet during summer (due to all the low pressure systems that roll over Denmark).

The wind statistics for Løkken are very good. Low pressure systems are common for Denmark, so being right at the coast Løkken gets a lot of the wind with these.
Excellent! Almost like some of the places in South Spain during the summer. Denmarks answer to Ibiza. Too many places to name them all! Go to town and you can't miss the action!
05-05-05 Boysen: Sailing north of the pier and with wind from SW Lokken is one det best spot in northern Jutland. Really nice waves - have been seen 8-10ft high. Big in DK
