The water is very blue up to green, there is a small tide and with low tide you have about 10 cm of water higher than the reef. So watch out when you cross it, always at full speed otherwise you damage your board. The water is like a mirror (very flat), outside you can get wind waves of 1 meter, but not breaking.
Wind is strong mostly in the morning and at noon, in the afternoon it can maintain its strength and stabilize or it can drop. In the morning it is slightly sideoffshore and if that is the case rather gusty, around 11am it changes to sideonshore and more stable. Best direction is sideonshore (North). The strength is relative as the direction is more important, as soon there is Northerly direction in it you can add 1-2 Bft to the forecast, due to Hurghadas geography. So watch the direction and then the strength. Season is in fact all year, although April till September are the best months (although can be very strong wind up to 8 Bft).
04-03-24 chili: we had just a great time, and my bonita was succesful on a kitecourse. cool sundowners and spectacular fireshows at the aloha bar....oooh yeah and Mohameds cocktails....be carefull - good taste but the hangover was outstanding. I had the best days on the north of the kitebeach, launching from the Hotel beach of Hostmark Grand Seas. Also cool set up there.
04-02-13 turbo: This is a great spot. I was just there and they had new test gear - all gear was in great condition. Fun social place too. They have a bar on the beach and lots of cool people working there. I´ll definitly be back
