Tide has no regularity (we are in Thailand after all), waves are wind depended - but we have a nice little beach break great for riding. Hua Hin beach has choppy waves getting bigger as the wind increases, a nice little shore break for shredding and boosting. Waves are smaller during the months of February to April. As for Jellyfish in Hua Hin, they can be found in November and then in March to May. In 2003 we only had about a week of them being around in late March, then they disappeared. 2002 they where more prevalent in April and May but wearing long pants and rashy will do the job. Nasty jelly fish!

Hua Hin is a great place for all levels of Kiteboarders. The 5 km long beach makes for great down winders. The beach is relatively uncrowed and there is plenty of room to lay your kite down and the beach opening up to around 100m wide during low tide in the summer months. Beach is fine sand with very few shells. Beach is widest in the summer months from February to May up to 100m wide at low tide. Width decreases from November to January, on occasion’s high tide can leave zero beach. There is 30 or 40 km of north and south of Hua Hin just awaiting to be discovered. At high tide the beach gets very small.
