Due to the two mass of land: Chiba on the East and Yokohama area on the West, there is a Venturi effect with South wind on this beach. The wind is therefore good but usually strait onshore.
You need a car to go there. From Tokyo, drive to Kawasaki-Shi. Take the "Tokyo-Wan Aqua line". This is a tunnel under the Tokyo Bay that goes directly to Chiba at "Kisarazu-Kanada". Once at "Kisarazu-Kanada" drive south to "Kisarazu" and then continue southwest to "Aohori". From "Aohori" drive west to "Futtsumisaki" and south to the south facing beach.
There is a "kite only" beach side during July/August. At this period, it is forbidden to kite near the "swimming area". In July/August there is a "beach bar" in front of the "swimming area".
