Works well on anything except NW, although at low tide you can still go out too the lagoons. Wind can be anything with depressions coming through. Summer lighter winds, best in spring and autumn.

Access:

Follow the coast round from the center of Southend heading for Shoeburyness. Once you pass the coast guard station take the next right. Take that road to the end. Turn left then with in a 100 yards turn right. At the end of that road is the entrance to the car park and cafe. Get a ticket as you drive in and drive down to the bottom, where the toilets and club are situated also signs are posted for information. Parking is £3 a day.
