Very narrow beach, approx. 5m wide and 300m long, with 4 story apartments on the edge of the beach. Grainy sand. Concrete walkway 5m from the water, followed by barbed wire and television aerials all the way down the beach. Almost one of the worst places to launch in HK, but worth it once you are out and clear of the buildings.

Summer is not good, April to September, wrong direction. Winter is good, October to March, NE-E-SE are all good directions. Can get 15-20 knots for a few days in a row. The apartments create a huge compression zone and make the kites become unstable in the gusty conditions. The beach curves, but mainly sideshore are NNW and SSE.

 How to get there
Transport:
- Boat
Access:
- Medium Walk

Catch the Cheung Chau ferry from Central HK. 2 ferries, one is a high speed that will take you there in 25 mins, the other is slower and will take 55 mins. Suggest the more expensive fast ferry.

Don't ride in the gazetted zone. Limited room, don't ride there unless you are experienced. Wicked little spot to hang out and eat. Make sure you go and have a beer at the windsurf club overlooking the point, good friendly people.
