Campeche, or C-Bay as many refer to it for its resemblance to world-famous Jeffrey's Bay, serves up a juicy right when it's on. Generally considered to be the best right Brazil when conditions are right. A good bet if there's a solid south swell in the works and a west wind, when it can hold up double overheads with no trouble. Make sure to check out the Riozinho section at the far end of Campeche, a fast wave where you can look forward to incredible barrel sessions. Strong currents, so pay attention to where you leave your gear. Considerably less people in the water than Joaquina to the north, and you can most always find uncrowded peaks that work well along the almost 2.5 miles of shoreline. The beach itself tends to be quieter, with little development and few tourists even during the summer, and boasts stunning views of Campeche Island just off the coast.
September to November: short wetsuit, air 27°C. December to April: shorts and a lycra (as sun protection), air more than 33°C. April to May: shorty again, air 22°C. May to August: long wetsuit (3.2 mm), air 22°C. When the winds are from the Northeast, the water is cold, requiring a thicker wetsuit, minimum 3.2.

During spring/summer NE winds are the most frequent, from 14 to 25kts, and fall/winter S and SSE are the most frequent, from 14 to 35 kts, works fine with the southeast swell when it becomes perfect for kitewave known by the locals as "direitas do Campeche" which means right breaks of Campeche, with wave as big as 2.5 to 3m (8 to 10 ft).
During the summer setup and launch/land kites only beyond the small river (Riozinho) to avoid crowd of people, other times no restrictions. There is an air compressor to setup kite freely, parking place (free of charge during winter and end of fall), and during spring/summer a restaurant is available.
