The wind blows sideonshore port tack. A constant wind which averages 15-25 knots, sometimes reaches 30 knots. Blows constant the whole day. Bulabog has wind from November till May. But the best time to go for wind is between December and February when the wind is at its best. November winds are very unpredictable, but December, January and February are very consistent.

Edit  How to get there
Transport:
- Boat
Access:
- Short Walk

Basically the only way to get to the Philippines is by plane. Manila and Cebu are the only major entry points. There are flights between the Philippines and plenty of Asian cities, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. There are also flights between Davao in Mindanao and Manado on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The island is really small, 1 km wide and 7 km long. You can cycle around quite easily or hire a dirt bike to see the island. The local transport is a bicycle with a side cart. These are everywhere and are really cheap - don't take the first price offered.

Edit  Rules, Restrictions and Extra Info
Rules:
- Fees

In the winter months surfing is only on Bulabog Beach, not White Beach. ALL lagoon users must register with the BWA. A $10 annual joining fee to kite in the lagoon is enforced and has been set up to raise funds for medical evacuation. Safety is enforced and those no obeying the rules will have to kite elsewhere. The BWA was formed to prevent a further BAN on kitesurfing as happened in 2004.

Edit  Nightlife Fun ambient bars with heaps of restaurants. Super cheap prices. Nightlife at: Hey Judes, Summer Place and Paradiso.

 Comments
05-10-05 Jim: A little bit overated if you ask me. And definately over popular and over sold.
05-04-10 Jonah: Went there, loved it. Hangin are a bit 'too cool for school' so i prefered Ocean Rep. Level headed and a comical crew!
05-02-28 Alex: Great place! Spent 5 months there and loved it! Habaggat is a cowboy outfit as mentioned but Hanging has the best beach spot and by far the nicest people, better that ocean republic for enjoyment and on a level with for saftey!
04-09-29 Grant: Awesome island and great winds in Dec when i went. Every day 15-20. Saty away form cowboy outfit Habaggat. They nearly killed me and made me pay $400 for the kite. 1st lesson and they hooked me into a 12m on the beach 10 yards form trees. My friend went to the IKO centre, i sat in on his lessons, they were amazing in comparison to the cowboy show i got. Advise to go Pro with the IKO school up the end of the beach.
04-05-05 Julian: Just got back from a week - great beach, great wind and friendly people
