The beach offers good conditions but on the low tide there are some rocks on the edge of water line. On the higher tide the rocks normally don't come into play. Nice sandy beach with lots of space.

Supports winds from NE through to SW. The windy season for Durban runs from about September through to March but has wind throughout the year. The prevailing wind is NNE. All of Durban's beaches are shark netted. While Durban offers excellent safe kitesurfing beaches the North and south coast offer epic uncrowded conditions with good point breaks that work in winds from NE through to SW.
